Round tables are a lost art. I’m not sure when and how everyone became so square or better yet, rectangular! If there’s one thing which I have learned over the years living in small spaces it’s that round tables take up much less room than a rectangular table that would seat the same number of people. So while a 60” round would comfortably seat 6 people (assuming a 24” standard seat width) one would typically need a 72” wide rectangular to seat the same 6 people as comfortably.

Another well kept secret with regards to rounds is that when family and friends are gathered at the table, everyone is looking directly at everyone else. While this might make the introvert at the table slightly uncomfortable it is an extrovert’s dream! LOL! So enjoy... it’s your home - make it as you want to see it!!
